As of 2024, I have founded a local rural community group "Sanity Clause" based in the Vale of Pewsey in Wiltshire that brings men together. Meet up and join in the chat about everyday life and where it leads us. Welcome to all with no barriers to entry, just come along and be part of the conversation. I enjoyed being a Mentor and Board Advisor to the C-suite of innovative growth companies over the previous decade. Before that I had twenty-plus years as a Founder/CEO of London and Silicon Valley-based start-ups. I was the Founder/CEO of PhoneMe the first Global Internet-enabled Toll-Free Telephony service (Web Callback). We raised venture funding to scale PhoneMe to the market-leading brand for Web Callback which led to a Silicon Valley exit. I was also the Founder/CEO at Zebtab (ManUtd desktop) that built the first aggregated widget platform internationally for sports and news media, NicheGnat that championed web conferencing in Europe and Interim Edge the UK’s first virtual management company focused on the Technology sector.

So if you are having to build a technology start-up outside London … you are a failure?

"So you can fail in London too, and it is why most British start-ups fail in Silicon Valley as well because the competition there is even more fierce and the money game more aggressive"
